And this is only the beginning. ### **About the role:** We are seeking a **Senior Data Engineer** to work on a global project, responsible for designing, developing, and evolving scalable data engineering solutions — ensuring data is available, intact, and ready for analytical consumption. We seek a hands\-on professional passionate about building robust pipelines, optimizing data environments, and working with modern cloud technologies. This role requires constant interaction with international teams, making **proficiency in English** essential for communication. ### **Your day\-to\-day responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using best practices for ETL/ELT. * Develop data ingestion, transformation, and publication processes for analytical consumption. * Model data structures tailored for analytical environments and data warehouses. * Optimize query performance and large\-scale data processing. * Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the entire data processing lifecycle. * Develop and maintain solutions using **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**, with a focus on **BigQuery**. * Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver reliable, high\-performance datasets. * Support the development of dashboards and semantic models used in **Looker**. * Document pipelines, architectures, and technical processes. * Identify opportunities for automation and continuous evolution of the data platform. ### **Requirements and qualifications:** * Solid experience as a **Senior Data Engineer**. * Advanced proficiency in **SQL**. * Experience with **Python** for pipeline development and automation. * Hands\-on experience with **ETL/ELT** processes and data integration. * Experience modeling data for analytical environments. * Experience with **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**. * Advanced knowledge of **BigQuery**. * Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar). * Experience with code versioning using Git. * Knowledge of **Looker**, including support for building data models and enabling analytical consumption. * Understanding of data governance, quality, and observability practices. * Analytical, collaborative, and problem\-solving mindset. * **Proficient English** (oral and written communication for an international environment). ### **Nice to have (not mandatory, but valued):** * Experience with **dbt**. * Knowledge of Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and other GCP services. * Experience with distributed processing (Spark or Dataproc). * Exposure to DataOps and CI/CD for data pipelines. * Knowledge of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse architectures. * Experience in global projects and distributed teams. ### **What’s it like to work at Skopia?** Here, you’ll find an environment where Results, Pragmatism, Commitment, Authority, and Performance guide everyday work.
