




Job Summary: The Billing and Authorization Assistant will handle the authorization of medical procedures and billing of hospital accounts, ensuring achievement of set targets. Key Highlights: 1. Authorize medical procedures and bill hospital accounts. 2. Support month-end closings to ensure achievement of revenue targets. 3. Safeguard the confidentiality of medical record information. We are seeking a **BILLING AND AUTHORIZATION ASSISTANT** to join our billing team at Cetus Oncologia S.A. **Responsibilities and Duties:** * Perform the process of authorizing medical procedures and/or billing hospital accounts and submitting invoices, while supporting month-end closings according to internal procedures and defined schedules, aiming to meet established revenue targets. * Cross-check the chemotherapy schedule against the treatment map and close consultation and treatment accounts. Perform closing verification of administered treatments for billing purposes and submit XML files to health insurers. * Complete and organize documentation required for submission to health insurers for authorization. * Safeguard the confidentiality of medical record information. * Coordinate with physicians to obtain reports, test results, and supplementary documents requested by health insurers for chemotherapy treatment authorization. * Submit pre-authorization requests for scheduled and urgent procedures to health insurers via email, web portals, or fax. * Request, modify, and update access credentials (usernames and passwords) as needed. * Monitor health insurer portals for authorization approvals. * Cross-check the chemotherapy schedule to track authorization status. * Consider the patient’s oncological treatment plan when requesting subsequent authorizations. * Inform all relevant departments about approved procedures, as well as those under review or denied. * Update daily in the management system the status of authorizations (approved, denied, pending). * Receive and verify documentation for authorized procedures prior to submitting service forms for patient care. **Education:** Completed high school. **Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress. **Knowledge Required:** Authorization of health insurer procedures and medical account billing. **Working Hours:** Monday–Thursday: 08:00–18:00; Friday: 08:00–17:00 (1-hour lunch break). **Benefits:** Transportation allowance (VT), meal voucher (VR), pharmacy benefit plan, health insurance, dental insurance, birthday leave, benefits club, attendance card, and Gympass.
