Advocate for the school’s mission and vision * Actively promote the school and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) * Collaborate closely with the Head of School, supporting and implementing school decisions. **IB PROGRAMME** * Support implementation of the Programme Action Plan strategies * Actively participate in workshops and training sessions to remain updated on best practices in IB programme instruction * Support promotion of school policies, contributing to their review as needed, ensuring new teachers have access to them * Actively promote the school and the PYP to the school community **SEGMENT ORGANIZATION** * Collaborate closely with the Head of School, supporting and implementing decisions related to maintaining the school’s physical infrastructure * (computers, calculators, laboratory materials, etc.) * Share with the IBC structural and administrative aspects and needs of the segment * Ensure relevant information concerning students and families is communicated to the entire leadership team—for example, specific dietary cases, serious disciplinary incidents, or incidents involving other departments requiring follow-up support and guidance * Inform and advise school leadership regarding segment-related expectations of students, parents, and guardians * Respond to official inquiries (Ouvidoria), when assigned by the Head of School * Seek alignment with the team prior to sending responses * Apply the Student General Regulations using the Action Cycle—rights, duties, and prohibitions * Organize logistical processes supporting learning (remedial and leveling classes) * Payment of occasional services, classroom availability * Scheduling parent/guardian meetings as needed * Mediate parent/guardian meetings together with other members of the school team—for example, Nutritionist, Head of Sports & Culture (PEX Coordinator), PYP Coordinator, or Head of School * Ensure effective and timely communication with families and/or external professionals (e.g., participation in WhatsApp groups with families, emails when necessary) * Distribute the informational bulletin to guardians * Collaborate closely with the pedagogical assistant and ensure teacher hour allocations are fulfilled (timesheets) * Organize teacher substitute coverage in case of absence of the homeroom/assistant teacher and notify the pedagogical team * Organize and monitor use of educational support resources * Materials used during after-school tutoring * Games and balls loaned during recess * Chromebooks * Monitor faculty engagement in professional development programmes (Smartleader) * Promote Educational Trips with families and students (e.g., Sítio do Carroção – 5th Grade) * Post institutional announcements on the staff room bulletin board * Participate in organizing logistical procedures for Educational Field Trips * + Educational Field Trip Organization + Field Trip Policy * Support and participate in producing PIN UPS * Provide compensated according to their actual working hours at school (including occasional work, invitation letters, substitutions, and personnel movements) * Adjust teacher workloads in Lyceum and allocate hours to the appropriate cost center in CHD * Post vacancies on GUPY and align information with the recruiter responsible for the position * Participate in interviews for hiring new teachers, assistants, and interns alongside the pedagogical team * Organize demonstration lessons (aula banca) * Evaluate candidate performance during demonstration lessons * Participate in separation processes jointly with HR **ADMISSIONS** * Participate in admissions processes, including new enrollments * Responsible for external transfer forms — 5 WHYS **TEACHING STAFF** * Monitor teacher participation in workshops and training for professional development (Smartleader) * Conduct meetings with teachers based on their needs and/or those of students and families * Ensure effective onboarding of new teachers regarding school procedures and tools used (Lyceum, timesheets, corporate email when required, sharing Service Desk contact information) **EVENTS** * Organize and participate in the Early Childhood Education Closing Ceremony * Support implementation of the PYP Expo, PYP Exhibition, and Pedagogical Nights * Supervise events (e.g., June Festival, Family Day) and programme-specific activities involving the school community * Authorize purchases of materials for event development (June Festival, Family Day, Closing Ceremony) * Manage teacher participation jointly with the Head of Sports & Culture **STUDENTS** * Monitor students’ academic and socioemotional progress in collaboration with the pedagogical team * Promote the well-being and socioemotional growth of all students * Ensure effective adaptation of new students * Mediate student support during routine school activities, together with teachers **ASSESSMENTS** * Monitor administration of second-chance quarterly exams; align with teachers on submission of justifications and medical certificates * Monitor grade reports (report cards) **CLASS COUNCILS** * Attend class council meetings Upload the file to the Secretary’s Drive folder * **Requirements and Qualifications** **What we expect you to know:** * Completed undergraduate degree in Pedagogy, plus specialization in educational management or international education; * Availability for a 30-hour weekly schedule—from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM; * Professional experience teaching in the Primary Years segment; * Written and spoken fluency in English—minimum B2 level preferred; * Experience leading processes and teams, and providing public service; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. **Additional assets include:** * International English language or English teaching methodology certification—such as Cambridge English Certificates (FCE, CAE, CPE), IELTS, Michigan ECPE, CELTA, TKT, TOEFL iBT, or equivalent qualifications. *
