Plant Supervisor

Description

Responsible for organizing and controlling mineral processing activities, including crushing, grinding, thickening, leaching, detoxification, elution, electrowinning, reagent preparation, process laboratory, chemical laboratory, and tailings dam management, aiming to contribute to achieving productivity and quality targets in operations. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Ensure workplace safety by participating in Daily Safety Dialogue (DDS) meetings with the team, discussing safe behaviors to be observed during task execution. * Ensure achievement of quality and productivity targets in mineral processing by monitoring the team on-site, guiding them in performing tasks and operating equipment. * Optimize reagent consumption at the plant and define mineral processing routes. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mineral processing plant by directing operators’ activities and the contractor’s support team. * Seek cost reduction in the area by developing new suppliers, conducting tests with new raw materials, identifying opportunities, and implementing feasible improvements. * Ensure accuracy in sampling across all process stages to guarantee proper sampling techniques so that results reliably represent the process. * Enhance team technical capability by preparing training materials and delivering training and refresher courses to the team. * Comply with quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations regarding safe and correct task execution to prevent accidents and environmental impacts. * Review analytical results generated by the team using pre-defined parameters, verifying trends in the results. * Keep management continuously informed about periodic performance results achieved by the plant team through indicator analysis, preparation, and presentation of performance reports. * Be capable of analyzing parameters obtained throughout the entire process and taking appropriate corrective actions. * Control plant costs to remain within budget; analyze deviations and propose improvements when they occur. * Maintain building infrastructure by implementing appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance plans. * Ensure full compliance with quality controls (QA/QC). * Ensure operations preserve team integrity and safety; **Requirements and Qualifications** * Technical or undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Mining, Process Engineering, or related fields. * Solid experience in this role. * Valid CFT (Technical Safety Certificate); * Knowledge of planning and control of Beneficiation Plants; * Familiarity with safety standards and procedures; * Experience leading operational teams; * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; * Driver’s license, Category B. **Additional Benefits** * Chartered transportation * Meals provided at the company * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Life insurance * Funeral assistance * Food allowance * Christmas basket * Childcare assistance * Housing assistance * PPR (Profit Sharing Plan) At P.A.
