In the Release Platform team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the advanced release infrastructure that powers software delivery at iFood scale. You will transform deployment complexity into competitive advantage, ensuring every release is fast, observable, and reliable—enabling engineering teams to deliver confidently and users to experience uninterrupted innovation. You will combine strong technical expertise in software development with a focus on resilient architectures—applying excellence patterns such as Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID, and Clean Code to build solutions operating at enterprise scale. **Your Daily Menu:** ------------------------ * Develop the Release Platform: Design and implement critical deployment system components, including canary deployments, automated release processes, and pipeline jobs (dry runs, database migrations, production, sandbox). * Software Architecture: Apply patterns such as Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID, and Clean Code practices to ensure maintainable, testable, and scalable systems. * Resilience and Observability: Implement resilience patterns (circuit breakers, timeouts, retries) and observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces) to guarantee high platform availability. * Automation and CI/CD: Develop and optimize deployment pipelines, automatic rollback systems, and canary promotion tools. * Technical Collaboration: Work closely with DevEx, SRE, and product teams to solve complex release and deployment challenges. * Engineering Excellence: Conduct code reviews, define technical standards, and ensure quality through testing. **Ingredients We’re Looking For:** ------------------------------ * Development Expertise: Solid experience in software development with deep proficiency in languages such as Java/Kotlin, Go, or similar. * Architectural Patterns: Practical experience with Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices. * Resilience and Observability: Knowledge of resilient system design, circuit breakers, timeouts, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing. * Distributed Systems: Experience with microservices, asynchronous communication, event-driven architecture, and large-scale deployment. * CI/CD and DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies (blue-green, canary), and automation tools. * Software Quality: Experience with TDD, automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), and code review practices. **To Enhance the Flavor:** ------------------------- * Prior experience with release platforms, deployment automation, or CI/CD tools. * Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. * Experience with databases and production database migration strategies. * Contributions to open-source projects related to DevOps or development platforms. **About Us** ------------- At iFood, we believe diversity drives \#Innovation and delivers \#OutstandingResults.
