We are looking for an **Optical Fiber Characterization Technician** interested in learning and gaining hands-on experience to join our team. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Operate measurement instruments such as PM, Fiber Scope, OTDR, Light Source, PMD, and Chromatic Dispersion; * Assist in splicing, analysis, and diagnosis of optical fibers; * Participate in performing and interpreting measurement tests; * Contribute to the analysis and location of Transmission Towers and collaborate in implementing advanced transmission systems; * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on measurement and diagnostic equipment; * Work collaboratively with the engineering team to identify efficient solutions for transmission issues. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Technical education in Telecommunications, Electrotechnics, Electronics, or related fields; * Active CREA/CFT registration; * Availability for travel and fieldwork (frequent, long-duration, and nationwide); * Openness to learn about operating measurement instruments (PM, Fiber Scope, OTDR, Light Source, PMD, and Chromatic Dispersion) and optical fiber splicing techniques; * Interest in becoming familiar with implementing DWDM ULH systems with Remote Optical Pumping (ROPA), and analyzing and sizing Transmission Tower locations, with focus on OPGW cables; * Analytical capability to create and interpret reports; * Knowledge of optical fibers (even theoretical or basic) is a plus. **Additional Information** **Advantages of being \#padtecker:** * Meal and food allowance via Alelo card * Medical and dental plan for you and your dependents; * Physical health support through Gympass; * Birthday Day Off; * Workplace gymnastics; * Payroll-deductible loan via Creditas; * Pharmacy discount program; * Childcare allowance / PCD allowance for parents with children with disabilities.
