Apply now to our open positions! **Responsibilities and duties** * Technically lead the team, defining architecture, design, and engineering best practices standards in **Java and Python**. * Drive architectural and data solution decisions on **AWS**, focusing on scalability, security, cost-efficiency, and observability. * Serve as the technical reference in code reviews, design reviews, and daily trade-off decisions. * Integrate **AI tools** (e.g., code assistants, automations, agents) into the team’s workflow to boost productivity and quality. * Collaborate closely with Product and other squads in agile ceremonies, helping break down scope, estimate, and prioritize. * Mentor and develop team members, contributing to their technical and career growth. * Conduct exploratory analyses of environments and technologies, documenting findings and training the technical team. * Work closely with the team and stakeholders to define and refine product requirements. * Collaborate closely with the DevOps team on application deployment, monitoring, and support activities. * Promote continuous improvements in code and internal processes. * Ensure production reliability and quality (monitoring, incident response, technical debt reduction). **Requirements and qualifications** * Proven experience developing and technically leading teams using **Java and Python**. * Solid understanding of **software architecture** (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, system integration). * Practical experience with **AWS** (compute, storage, messaging, networking, and security best practices). * Experience with Sonar or similar tools. * Hands-on experience with **agile methodologies** (Scrum/Kanban), not just theoretical knowledge. * Familiarity with **AI tools applied to software development**, and willingness to integrate them into the team’s daily work. * Strong communication skills across technical and business domains, and ability to influence decisions without formal authority. * Ability to facilitate intense technical discussions in an impartial and constructive manner. * Experience in the **benefits sector**, or in financial products / fintech / payments.
