Focus on high availability, performance, and data security **Job Description** We are looking for a **Senior Oracle DBA with SQL Server experience** to administer critical database environments in the **cloud**, ensuring high availability, performance, data security, and service continuity. The professional will be responsible for supporting, optimizing, and evolving database environments hosted on **OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)**, proactively preventing incidents and continuously improving the platform. **Location:** São Paulo or Porto Alegre **Work Model:** Hybrid – up to 3 days per week onsite **Responsibilities and Duties** * Administration and support of **Oracle** and **Microsoft SQL Server** databases in critical production environments. * Management of **cloud** environments, with focus on **OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)**. * Monitoring, analysis, and optimization of database performance. * Implementation and administration of **high availability and disaster recovery strategies**. * Management of **backup and recovery**, ensuring data integrity and availability. * Conducting **advanced troubleshooting**, incident analysis, and resolution of performance issues. * Planning and execution of **database patches, upgrades, and migrations**. * Supporting infrastructure and development teams in defining database best practices. * Implementing policies for **data security, auditing, and governance**. * Automating operational routines and continuously improving database environments. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience administering **Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c or later)**. * Experience with **Microsoft SQL Server** in corporate environments. * Experience with **Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)**. * Knowledge of **high availability** solutions (Data Guard, RAC, AlwaysOn, or equivalent technologies). * Experience with **backup and recovery** (RMAN, enterprise backup tools). * Strong experience in **database performance analysis and tuning**. * Experience with **Linux and Windows Server** environments. * Knowledge of **automation of administrative routines** (Shell Script, PowerShell, or similar). * Experience with **mission-critical environments** and production support. **Desirable Differentiators** * Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certifications. * Experience with **Exadata, ODA, or Autonomous Database**. * Experience with **database monitoring tools**. * Experience with **DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code**. * Experience in **migrating on-premise environments to the cloud**.
