Job Summary: This role involves assisting in bakery product production, serving customers at the counter, organizing and cleaning the department, and supporting inventory management and loss prevention. Quality management and loss prevention for products Assist in producing bakery items; measuring and weighing ingredients, helping prepare snacks, dry cakes, cornbread, sweet rolls, monitoring baking times, removing baked goods from molds, packaging and pricing products, and delivering them to the sales area to meet daily production targets. Assist in customer service at the counter: identifying products, weighing them, correctly entering item codes on the scale, packaging and labeling requested items such as French bread, cornbread, cheese bread, sweets, puddings, sweet rolls, among others. Organize and clean the department; washing utensils, sanitizing display cases and proofing cabinets, collecting discarded packaging, organizing packaging materials—ensuring higher productivity and readiness of the department to meet daily demands. Assist in conducting periodic inventory checks of merchandise stock, ensuring accuracy of collected data. Implement loss prevention measures by evaluating product condition, verifying and maintaining control over expiration dates of items displayed at sales points, shelves, and service counters to guarantee product quality offered by the department. Comply with company policies, follow work procedures and processes, occupational health and safety regulations, and ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of materials, equipment, tools, and/or documentation under one’s responsibility, keeping the workplace clean and organized. Serve customers whenever necessary; Conduct product audits to verify expiration dates, need for markdowns, pricing, product quality, and in-store damages using handheld scanners or spreadsheets, aiming to provide optimal service to our customers.
