Job Summary: A professional responsible for controlling and operating the wastewater treatment plant, performing analyses, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure environmental compliance. Maintenance and compliance with environmental legislation Description: * Control the operation of the wastewater treatment plant through activities such as: Flow, pressure, and treatment lagoon level control via valves and hydraulic pumps; * Perform basic administrative tasks to support the continuity of processes and projects; * Verify conditions for receiving and storing products, preparing solutions, equipment operation, dosage and control execution, ensuring personnel safety as well as cleaning and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) facilities. * Conduct field analyses, collect samples for laboratory analysis according to scheduled frequency, perform analytical quality control, provide analysis or test results requested by management, manage inputs (chemicals, reagents, glassware, and general materials), operate laboratory equipment (calibration, reports, certificates), and request maintenance for malfunctioning equipment. * Request mechanical and electrical repairs for WWTP machinery and equipment whenever necessary to maintain proper plant operation; * Perform wet-chemical analyses on collected samples following current standards; * Monitor sampling conducted by external laboratories by performing parallel sampling for comparison according to the provided schedule; * Prepare and standardize chemical solutions and develop calibration curves; * Prepare reports and studies requested by the company, clients, suppliers, or environmental agencies; * Perform related activities and tasks in accordance with environmental protection procedures, aiming for optimal final effluent quality while consistently meeting discharge parameter limits set by legislation; * Prepare daily reports on activities performed at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and update daily control spreadsheets; * Comply with requirements stipulated by regulatory authorities; * Execute physical\-chemical and biological treatment of received effluents (leachate generated at the landfill and external contributions); * Monitor levels of all reservoirs, lagoons, and reactors to prevent contamination (internal or external) or improper equipment operation.
