Supervises pharmacy staff and internal processes **Substitute Pharmacist** A Substitute Pharmacist is a professional who temporarily assumes the duties of the primary pharmacist, ensuring compliance with sanitary, technical, and legal regulations related to pharmaceutical activities. This role involves responsible medication dispensing, patient counseling, and supervision of internal pharmacy processes, safeguarding product quality, safety, and efficacy. Key responsibilities include: verifying and approving medical prescriptions; advising customers and patients on proper medication usage; managing inventory; checking expiration dates; tracking orders; recording controlled substances in accordance with current legislation; and supervising pharmacy attendants and assistants. The role also entails ensuring adherence to Good Storage and Dispensing Practices; maintaining orderly premises; participating in audits and inspections; and reporting any irregularities to legally designated authorities. When required, the Substitute Pharmacist participates in team training, implements process improvements, and contributes to optimizing customer service. A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, active registration with the Regional Council of Pharmacy (CRF), and familiarity with current sanitary legislation are mandatory. Desirable competencies include responsibility, professional ethics, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proactivity.
