Join our purpose! **Responsibilities and Duties** * Provide bedside speech-language pathology services across all hospital units, with emphasis on dysphagia, language, voice, and orofacial motor skills; * Assist in developing the Administrative and Technical Manual to standardize service operations, routines, and clinical interventions; * Support implementation of feeding assessment kits in collaboration with Nutrition, to streamline service routines and improve patient progress—reducing the interval between assessments and oral intake initiation, accelerating weaning from alternative feeding routes, thereby facilitating cost reduction associated with enteral nutrition and patient discharge; * Participate in shift handover meetings where patient cases are discussed, ensuring multidisciplinary resolution and management, and guaranteeing consistency in clinical approaches; * Complete daily patient mapping spreadsheets to monitor service utilization and track the number of patients per unit; these spreadsheets also record each patient’s clinical status, as well as established interventions and observations for each case; * Document speech-language pathology progress notes in the electronic health record system, to optimize service workflow and communication among the multidisciplinary team; * Collaborate with Nutrition and Nursing teams in Therapeutic Nutrition to develop the Enteral Nutrition Handbook, enabling health education across units through staff training on safe and effective weaning from alternative feeding routes and oral intake initiation; Provide support to Nutrition and Nursing teams in Therapeutic Nutrition during EMTN trainings, to deliver health education across units through staff training on safe and effective weaning from alternative feeding routes and oral intake initiation. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; * Specialization in the field is desirable; * Experience in hospital settings; * Active CREFONO registration.
