Tire Technician

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for mounting, dismounting, installing, and removing tires; inspecting tire rubber quality and condition; and managing tire inventory. Key Highlights: 1. Fleet tire maintenance and management 2. Tire and wheel inventory organization 3. Working in an organized and safe environment Mount and remove tires from fleet vehicles; Mount and dismount new and used tires; Mark the fire number on newly purchased tires; Inspect daily the quality and condition of fleet tire rubber and replace as necessary; Report any tire damage to the department supervisor to ensure proper tire management procedures are followed; Accurately record tire data on the tire management form; Periodically inspect and verify wheel nut torque on vehicles; Organize inventory of retreaded tires, wheels, and new tires; Maintain a clean and organized workplace while performing tasks in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards; Perform other duties as required or as directed by the immediate supervisor.
