Job Summary: Opportunity for qualified ROV professionals responsible for leading teams, supervising operations, and ensuring safety and maintenance of onboard equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Development of detailed reports and communication with clients ***THIS OPPORTUNITY IS EXTENDED TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO MEET THE JOB REQUIREMENTS.*** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for the ROV team and equipment aboard vessels during their shift; * Familiarity with company policies and procedures relevant to their role; * Leading the team on safety-related matters; * Issuing incident and accident reports as required by procedure when necessary; * Communicating safety matters with the team during their shift; * Knowledge of and proper use of the company’s safety management system; * Conducting safety meetings with “tool box talk” before new tasks are performed, including those involving ROV operations; * Providing safety system induction to team members during their shift; * Knowledge of emergency procedures; * Taking appropriate action in emergency situations; * Issuing detailed and situation-appropriate reports for emergencies encountered; * Leading personnel directly or indirectly involved in any situation—whether during their shift and required operations or as requested by colleagues; * Leading the ROV team during emergency situations; * Being accountable for the work team during their shift; * Guiding and instructing team members on the use of required equipment; * Being accountable for equipment during their shift; * Identifying the need for additional instruction and mentoring Trainees and other pilots during their shift; * Communicating with the entire onboard team, including those not on their shift—especially during shift handover; * Safely supervising the ROV team during their shift; * Ensuring preventive maintenance of the system is up to date; * Assigning tasks to team members appropriately according to individual capabilities, with courtesy and respect; * Ensuring company procedures are available in their workplace; * Ensuring maintenance reports are current and properly completed; * Requesting spares and consumables per company procedure; * Reviewing and suggesting improvements to the preventive maintenance system, reporting to base support team; * Assessing sea conditions for safe ROV operations according to contractual parameters; * Receiving information on conditions prior to each dive; * Appropriately guiding the team regarding operational limitations as defined by the contract; * Leading the team during operations under adverse environmental conditions, but within contractual limits; * Familiarizing oneself with the correct format for completing company reports; * Producing clear and easily understandable reports for the client and onshore management, following company format; * Ensuring completion of ROV pilots’ *Logbooks*; * Clearly and accurately understanding tasks to meet client requirements; * Discussing planned operations with the client, ROV Superintendent, Operations Technician and/or Offshore Manager, and all personnel involved—including the ROV team; * Treating team members with respect, dignity, and integrity; * Suggesting modifications to planned tasks; * Providing appropriate instructions to ROV pilots; * Guiding and instructing ROV pilots to maintain equipment operational readiness. Your responsibility is to perform your duties punctually and in accordance with the company’s quality standards. **Requirements** ***Required Education:*** * Technical certification registered with CFT in: Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnology, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Telecommunications, Automation, or Instrumentation. * Or a university degree registered with CREA in the disciplines listed above. ***Experience / Knowledge / Skills:*** * Proven hands-on experience supervising ROV operations aboard PLSV, AHTS, RSV, or DSV vessels; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; * Intermediate English – speaking and writing; * Skills: Interpersonal skills and teamwork; * Required: Valid CBSP.
