




Job Summary: Responsible for leading the ROV team and managing ROV equipment onboard, ensuring safety and compliance with procedures, as well as supervising operations and maintenance. Supervise maintenance and issue reports ***THIS OPPORTUNITY IS EXTENDED TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO MEET THE JOB REQUIREMENTS.*** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for the ROV team and equipment onboard vessels during your shift; * Familiarize yourself with company policies and procedures relevant to your role; * Lead the team on safety-related matters; * Issue incident and accident reports as required by procedure when necessary; * Communicate safety matters with your team during your shift; * Know and properly use the company’s safety management system; * Conduct safety meetings with “*tool box talk*” before new tasks are performed, including those involving ROV operations; * Provide induction to the company’s safety management system for team members during your shift; * Know emergency procedures; * Take appropriate action in case of emergencies; * Issue detailed and situation-appropriate emergency reports; * Lead personnel directly or indirectly involved in any situation—whether during your shift, required operations, or as requested by colleagues; * Lead the ROV team during emergencies; * Be accountable for your work team during your shift; * Guide and instruct team members on proper use of required equipment; * Be accountable for equipment during your shift; * Identify needs for additional instruction and guide trainees and other pilots during your shift; * Communicate with the entire onboard team, including those not on your shift—especially during shift handover; * Safely supervise the ROV team during your shift; * Keep preventive maintenance of the system up to date; * Assign tasks to team members appropriately according to individual capabilities, with courtesy and respect; * Ensure company procedures are available in your workplace; * Ensure maintenance reports are updated and completed correctly; * Request spare parts and consumables following company procedure; * Review and suggest improvements to the preventive maintenance system, reporting to base support team; * Assess sea conditions for safe ROV operation per contractual parameters; * Receive information on conditions prior to each dive; * Appropriately advise the team regarding operational limitations per contract; * Lead the team during operations under adverse environmental conditions, yet within contractual limits; * Familiarize yourself with correct company report completion methods; * Produce clear, easily understandable reports for clients and onshore management, per company format; * Ensure ROV pilots’ *Logbooks* are properly completed; * Clearly and accurately understand tasks to meet client requirements; * Discuss planned operations with the client, ROV Superintendent, Operations Technician and/or Offshore Manager, and all involved parties—including the ROV team; * Treat team members with respect, dignity, and integrity; * Suggest modifications to planned tasks; * Provide appropriate instructions to ROV pilots; * Guide and instruct ROV pilots to keep equipment operational. Your responsibility is to perform your duties punctually and in accordance with the company’s quality standards. **Requirements** ***Required Education:*** * Technical Certificate registered with CFT in: Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Telecommunications, Automation, or Instrumentation. * Or a Bachelor’s degree registered with CREA in the disciplines listed above. ***Experience / Knowledge / Skills:*** * Proven hands-on experience supervising ROV operations onboard PLSV, AHTS, RSV, or DSV vessels; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; * Intermediate English—spoken and written; * Skills: Interpersonal communication and teamwork; * Required: Valid CBSP.
