Complying with hygiene and food safety standards Responsible for preparing basic and auxiliary foods in the kitchen, following instructions from the Head Chef and senior cooks. Performs simple cooking tasks, as well as cleaning and organizing the work area. Prepare ingredients following instructions. Assist in pre\-preparation of dishes, performing tasks such as chopping, cutting, and washing food items. Perform simple cooking tasks, such as boiling water, cooking rice and eggs, and grilling basic foods. Plate dishes according to presentation standards. Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of your work area, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Wash dishes and kitchen utensils when necessary. Assist in receiving and storing goods. Organize and maintain cleanliness of food and material inventories. Comply with hygiene and food safety standards. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and senior cooks.
