Job Summary: A professional responsible for loading and unloading goods, operating equipment, handling cargo, performing cleaning and maintenance tasks, and communicating to ensure efficient transportation of goods. Maintenance of quality and safety in operations * Prepare cargo for loading and unloading, move and secure goods and cargo on ships, aircraft, trucks, railcars, and port facilities, deliver and collect parcels, handle special cargo, repair damaged packaging, and monitor service quality. * Operate loading and unloading equipment; connect pipelines to cargo loading facilities. * Perform cleaning and maintenance activities in port warehouses and on ships; establish communication by sending, receiving, and verifying messages; notify and request information, authorizations, and guidance regarding cargo transportation, loading, and unloading. * Mooring and unmooring vessels. * Load cargo into trailers, observing volume labeling symbols to ensure proper box stowage; * Load trucks considering overall cargo balance in the vehicle to prevent accidents and/or damage; * Perform volume passage while respecting predefined parameters to ensure accurate measurement verification; * Supervise trailer unloading by removing boxes from the truck, assisting in goods distribution and segregating them by location to ensure warehouse organization and prevent misplacements during cargo discharge and allocation within the warehouse according to specifications; * Assist in unloading returned products, placing\-them in appropriate locations; * Repair damaged packaging; * Identify potential issues with goods, inspecting for damage, recording findings, and forwarding them to the quality department; * Follow safety procedures, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and per work instructions for each area, avoiding unsafe practices to ensure personal physical integrity and that of coworkers; * Maintain a clean and organized workplace throughout the entire shift; * Perform tasks in accordance with relevant procedures and work instructions under one's responsibility, and comply with company policies, objectives, targets, and standards; * Perform other related duties as directed by the immediate supervisor to meet operational needs and area requirements.
