The **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft safely, efficiently, and punctually, ensuring process efficiency and contributing to customer perception regarding baggage handling, cargo transportation, and flight punctuality. Assist in aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for the Maceió Airport (MCZ)!** ------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Safeguard aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Verify and safeguard baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Customer Manual or dnata's MGO; * Through reading baggage and cargo identification labels (with or without technological assistance), sort baggage and cargo volumes in airport sorting areas, aiming to load them onto storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for the correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling recommendations (fragile, dangerous, live animals, perishable items); * Through reading volume identification labels, unload baggage and cargo and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Sort baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate interline connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo packaging to verify compliance with transport requirements, ensuring flight and handler safety; * Correctly handle and properly allocate baggage and cargo within aircraft holds, observing internal retention and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures with aircraft to prevent fuselage collisions; * Handle aircraft within established timeframes for each type of operation and airport classification; * Conduct checklists on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repairs to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment anomalies during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability in assessing situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing duties, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from carousels to transport equipment, chocking, aircraft loading/unloading with bags and cargo, flight-related signaling, and floor inspection/sweeping to retrieve fallen objects; auditory perception for identifying audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
