The **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft with safety, quality, and punctuality, ensuring process efficiency and reinforcing customers' perception of the company’s services regarding baggage and cargo transportation, as well as flight punctuality. Assist in aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for the Maceió Airport (MCZ)!** ------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Client Manual or dnata’s MGO; * Through reading baggage and cargo identification labels (with or without technological assistance), sort volumes in airport sorting areas to load them onto appropriate storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following regulations and procedures outlined in the MGO, adhering to special handling recommendations (fragile, hazardous, live animals, perishable items); * Through reading volume identification labels, unload baggage and cargo and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Sort baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate flight connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging to verify compliance with transport requirements, ensuring flight and handler safety; * Properly handle and correctly allocate baggage and cargo into aircraft holds, observing internal restraint and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures with aircraft to prevent fuselage collisions; * Service aircraft within the timeframes established for each service type and airport classification; * Conduct checklists on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repairs to the GSE Technical maintenance team; * Report any equipment irregularities during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability to assess situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from conveyor belts to transport equipment, wheel chocking, and aircraft loading/unloading with baggage and cargo; signaling around the flight being serviced; floor inspection and scanning to retrieve dropped objects; and auditory perception to identify audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
