The Software Engineering team designs, develops, or coordinates the development/troubleshooting or debugging of moderately complex software programs for enhancements and new products. It performs high\-level design/modeling to translate stakeholder needs into software solutions. It develops software and tools to support design platforms, infrastructure, and technology. It determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. It develops architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards and communicates with stakeholders.

In this role, the candidate will work in a global cross\-functional team to design, implement and integrate firmware with Motor Control solutions and Model Based Algorithms, to achieve attribute and product performance targets.
**Suas responsabilidades incluirão**
------------------------------------
* Daily activities in software life cycle, translate requirements into software functional specifications to product level testing, including firmware design, implementation and unit testing.
* Software / firmware development in C;
* Partner with hardware engineers during MCU selection, schematic reviews, and PCB board bring\-up to ensure seamless hardware/software integration.
* Act as a technical subject matter expert, leading code reviews, establishing firmware development best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
**Requisitos mínimos**
----------------------
* B.S. Electrical/ Electronics Engineer, Computer Engineer, Mechatronics or correlated area
* 5\+ years of professional experience in embedded software/firmware engineering.
* Expert\-level proficiency in **C programming** for resource\-constrained embedded systems.
* Ability to read datasheets, software \& hardware reference documents, create setups and debug hardware related issues without supervision;
* Fluent English
**Habilidades e experiências desejáveis**

* Electrical or Electronic Engineering master’s degree
* Professional Experience in the design of controls for electrical motors including sensorless Field Oriented Control Techniques
* Knowledge of power electronic devices and inverter design
* Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508\) and developing safety\-critical firmware.
* Experience in Model Based Design Tools (Matlab\\Simulink) and techniques (MIL, SIL, PIL)
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
* Familiarity with continuous integration and test
* Ability to work cross functionally and globally.
* Capable of working independently with cross functional teams and to provide updates to the leadership through effective communication. Should be able to negotiate and influence technical and non\-technical audiences
* A passion for applying latest technologies into the development of innovative features and products
* A collaborative attitude and strong desire to succeed as part of the team.
