We are seeking a professional with expertise in hydroelectric power plant operations within the Production area—both in machine rooms and control rooms—as well as knowledge of technical standards and procedures, with full responsibility for controlling and producing electricity from our plants through monitoring and actuating commands via the Digital Supervisory and Control System (DSCS), supported by all necessary infrastructure for electricity generation.
**Responsibilities and duties**
* Monitor hydrogenerators and their auxiliaries, as well as adjacent equipment in the machine room, ensuring execution of operational actions in the power generation process;
* Review occurrences from the previous shift to become fully aware of daily activities to be performed;
* Exchange clear and standardized information with Shift Operators, immediately reporting any operational deviations in the facility;
* Comply with the energy and hydraulic guidelines outlined in the Daily Production Program and Daily Outflow Program;
* Coordinate with Maintenance teams regarding equipment releases and normalization within AUREN’s electro-energy system;
* Monitor installations and systems at the Picada Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE Picada) via the Digital Supervisory and Control System (DSCS), performing readings of meters and indicators for electrical and mechanical quantities, temperatures, volumes, voltages, power, water levels, and other parameters—paying close attention to deviations from standard values and taking prompt decisions to restore normal operation or bring systems back to standard safety conditions in case of anomalies;
* Inspect the operation of equipment and facilities (Substation, Intake Structure, and Powerhouse), conducting observations and readings while monitoring for anomalies that compromise performance or indicate non-compliance with desired specifications;
* Carry out work activities in accordance with safety and environmental protection procedures;
* Maintain production assets in suitable operating condition, meeting regulatory requirements and availability performance indicators;
* Operate overhead cranes, gantry cranes, monorails, hoists, and other lifting equipment;
* Drive motor vehicles, including cars and pickup trucks.
**Requirements and qualifications**
* Secondary-level technical education in Electrotechnology, Electronics, Automation, or Electromechanics, with active registration in the respective professional council;
* Driver’s license, Category B;
* Prior experience in operation or maintenance activities at hydroelectric power plants is desirable;
* Knowledge of the energy sector, hydroelectric power plants, and substations;
* Skills in teamwork, initiative, leadership, interpersonal relationships, and communication;
