### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Strategic Litigation Management**
* Supervise the organization’s portfolio of judicial and administrative proceedings, monitoring partner law firms’ performance regarding deadline compliance, quality of deliverables, reporting frequency, and adherence to established procedural guidelines.
* Analyze and validate initial pleadings, defenses, appeals, and other legal submissions prepared internally or by third parties, with special attention to cases of high impact and strategic relevance to the business.
* Define and reassess legal arguments, risk classifications, and feasibility of extrajudicial settlements, strictly observing decision-making authorities and internal governance policies.
* Monitor the entire lifecycle of proceedings—from filing through final judgment—including management of procedural expenses, updating of accounting provisions, fulfillment of mandatory and prohibitory court orders, settlement execution, and definitive case closure.
**Legal Operations and Controls Management**
* Maintain updated databases and management spreadsheets, ensuring timely recording of procedural developments, key deadlines, court-imposed obligations, and other critical information under your custody.
* Structure and manage intake of new matters received from partner law firms, ensuring accurate classification, document storage, version control, and traceability of all evidence and decisions.
* Produce metrics, dashboards, and executive reports reflecting the litigation area’s performance, while also identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for standardization, process rationalization, and automation of repetitive tasks.
* Lead implementation of the new case management system (Elaw), mastering its functionalities and delivering training to partner law firms to ensure accurate and consistent database updates.
**Legal Support and Business Partnership**
* Serve as the legal liaison supporting specific company departments, providing technical guidance, preventive legal opinions, and legal solutions for matters submitted for your review.
* Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, representing the legal department in discussions concerning proceedings under your responsibility and aligning strategies with other involved departments.
### **REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
* Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
* Postgraduate degree in Civil Procedure Law, Labor Procedure Law, or Tax Law.
* Solid experience as an in-house lawyer at multinational corporations, with proven track record managing high-value civil litigation involving strategic complexity.
* Knowledge of Legal Operations, including ability to structure workflows, develop performance indicators, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement continuous improvements in legal routines.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for building controls, analyses, and management reports.
* Familiarity with Electronic Judicial Address (Domicílio Judicial Eletrônico), case tracking systems, and tools for publishing judicial acts.
* Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools applied to law (preferred).
* Ability to negotiate and influence decision-makers across various hierarchical levels.
* Proactive attitude, with preventive mindset and capacity to anticipate risks.
* High organizational capacity, priority management skills, and ability to simultaneously handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
* Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in teams within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
* Fluent English (preferred).
