About the position: We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to support and evolve critical financial systems. This role will play a key part in ensuring application stability, security, performance, and scalability—by analyzing and resolving complex incidents, implementing evolutionary improvements, and continuously modernizing the architecture. We seek someone with strong analytical skills, systemic thinking, and experience in high-availability, transaction-processing banking environments. Responsibilities: ✔ Support critical financial applications by performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving production incidents. ✔ Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and permanently resolve recurring issues. ✔ Develop minor enhancements and new features while ensuring compliance with business rules and financial regulatory requirements. ✔ Optimize application and database performance, including SQL query analysis and improvement. ✔ Create, review, and maintain indexes, data structures, and modeling strategies for high-volume environments. ✔ Support versioning, automation, and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines. ✔ Manage and monitor containerized environments on Kubernetes. ✔ Contribute to architectural evolution of applications using Clean Architecture and DDD principles. ✔ Implement and maintain asynchronous integrations using messaging solutions. ✔ Share technical knowledge and support team development through software engineering best practices. Requirements: ✔ Solid experience developing and supporting banking or financial systems. ✔ Proficiency in Java 8 and extensive experience with the Spring and Spring Boot ecosystem. ✔ Advanced experience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization. ✔ Experience in high-availability, high-concurrency, and transaction-processing environments. ✔ Practical knowledge of Azure Cloud. ✔ Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps for version control and process automation. ✔ Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and management of containerized environments. ✔ Experience monitoring and managing clusters using Rancher. ✔ Hands-on experience applying Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). ✔ Experience with asynchronous messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ and/or Kafka. ✔ Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in production environments. Nice-to-have: ➕ Experience modernizing legacy applications and leading architectural transformation initiatives. ➕ Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and application performance analysis. ➕ Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with financial sector compliance requirements. ➕ Experience with advanced application security practices and protection of sensitive data. ➕ Certifications related to Java, Azure, Kubernetes, or software architecture.
