Job Summary: Develop mechanical projects for equipment, machines, and devices, ensuring quality, functionality, safety, and manufacturability, while collaborating across departments to drive continuous improvement. Strategic interface with various company departments **JOB OBJECTIVE** Develop mechanical projects for equipment, machines, and devices, including creation of 3D models, manufacturing and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation—ensuring quality, functionality, safety, standardization, and manufacturability. Collaborate with Production, PPC (Production Planning and Control), Purchasing, Sales, and Technical Support departments to continuously improve products and processes. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** **Project Development** * Develop mechanical projects for machines and equipment. * Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings. * Develop assemblies, sub-assemblies, and individual parts. * Generate manufacturing and assembly drawings. * Prepare bills of materials for machining and purchasing. * Specify appropriate materials and components. * Verify with Production whether delivered materials meet requested requirements. * Size mechanical components according to technical standards. * Perform reviews and updates of existing projects. **Engineering and Development** * Participate in new product development. * Propose improvements to existing equipment. * Support component standardization. * Develop manufacturing fixtures, tools, and jigs. * Support cost reduction through design improvements. **Production Support** * Clarify technical questions from the factory. * Monitor prototype assembly. * Resolve interferences identified during manufacturing. * Assist in solving technical issues. * Update drawings according to production changes. **Technical Documentation** * Prepare: * Technical drawings; * Technical manuals; * Bills of materials; * Assembly instructions; * Descriptive reports; * Project revision control. **Cross-Departmental Interface** Collaborate with: * Production * Purchasing * PPC (Production Planning and Control) * Sales * After-sales * Technical Support * Quality **DAILY ACTIVITIES** * 3D modeling. * Preparation of technical drawings. * Manufacturing detailing. * Updating bills of materials. * Developing improvements. * Technical meetings. * Monitoring assembly. * Internal technical support. * Revision control. **REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE** **Mandatory** * Reading and interpretation of technical drawings. * Dimensional tolerances. * Metrology. * Mechanical manufacturing processes. * Machine elements. * Metallic materials. * Welding. * Machining. * Sheet metal fabrication (boilermaking). * ABNT standards. * Basic mechanical sizing. **Desirable** * Pneumatics. * Hydraulics. * Industrial automation. * Power transmission systems. * Sheet metal bending processes. * Roll forming. * Structural steelwork. **SOFTWARES** Mandatory * SolidWorks (preferred) * AutoCAD * Microsoft Office Suite Desirable * SolidWorks PDM * Inventor * Fusion 360 * Industrial ERP **BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES** Candidates are expected to demonstrate: * Organization. * Attention to detail. * Analytical ability. * Strong communication skills. * Teamwork proficiency. * Proactivity. * Sense of urgency. * Technical accountability. * Commitment to deadlines. * Problem-solving ability. * Continuous learning mindset. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** **Education** * Technology degree in Mechanical Projects; * Technology degree in Mechanical Manufacturing; * Mechanical Engineering; * Mechanical Production Engineering. **Experience** Preferred experience in: * Industrial machinery projects. * Specialized equipment. * Product development. **Differentiators** * Experience with roll-forming machines and metal-forming equipment. * Knowledge of metallic sheets and bending processes. * Design for Manufacturability (DFM). * Knowledge of pneumatics. * Hands-on factory floor experience.
