Food handling and seasoned product production Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Provide direct customer service at the butcher counter, performing cutting, grinding, and weighing to serve customers well. Receive goods, organize sector inventory in cold storage, handle food, produce seasoned products and self-service trays, restock shelves, monitor product expiration dates, verify pricing, clean and organize the section, and provide customer service/sales. Set up butcher counters and frozen food islands with various cuts of meat according to predefined quality standards to facilitate sales. Assist in sorting area products into appropriate containers, such as ground meats, chicken cuts, sliced steaks, ribs, and roasted meats; weigh, price, and display them for sale. Update prices on the butcher price list as previously instructed. Keep meat pieces inside cold storage organized to make space for newly arriving items. Maintain order and hygiene in the workplace—washing counters, cold storage units, etc.—to prevent accidents and proliferation of insects, bacteria, etc., ensuring required quality standards.
