About the role We are looking for a Data Architect to work on a strategic technology transformation project, leading the construction and evolution of the data architecture of a critical financial reconciliation platform. This position will be responsible for defining modern, scalable, and secure solutions for processing large volumes of data, ensuring high performance, governance, and reliability during the migration to a new platform. We are looking for a person with a strong strategic vision, a hands\-on profile, and the ability to connect business needs with best practices in data architecture and engineering. Responsibilities ✔ Define and evolve the data architecture to support the migration of financial reconciliation systems. ✔ Design batch and streaming data processing solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability. ✔ Develop and implement data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Databricks. ✔ Structure and manage data environments on AWS, including service configuration, clusters, and access management (IAM). ✔ Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and availability processes (ETL/ELT) for high-volume transactional environments. ✔ Define standards for data governance, security, quality, and observability. ✔ Design event-driven architectures using Kafka and other asynchronous integration technologies. ✔ Support data migration between legacy systems and the new platform, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and consistency. ✔ Act as an interface between business areas and technical teams, translating requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions. ✔ Provide technical support to the team, promoting best practices in data engineering and architecture. Requirements ✔ Solid experience as a Data Architect, Data Tech Lead, or in equivalent positions. ✔ Strong knowledge of data architecture and engineering, data modeling, and building analytical pipelines. ✔ Experience with Lakehouse architectures. ✔ Experience with real-time data processing (streaming). ✔ Knowledge of event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka. ✔ Experience with Databricks for Big Data engineering and processing. ✔ Proficiency in PySpark and Python for pipeline development and distributed processing. ✔ Experience with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration. ✔ Solid knowledge of key AWS services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, and IAM. ✔ Experience with processing large volumes of data in critical environments. ✔ Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security frameworks. ✔ Experience with CI/CD, code versioning, and observability applied to data engineering. ✔ Experience with designing and evaluating system integration solutions. ✔ Experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models.
