**Responsibilities and Duties**
A Logistics Leader acting as Packaging Manager is a professional responsible for managing the entire packaging lifecycle, including receipt, storage, traceability, and compliance verification during production. They ensure material integrity, prevent waste, and guarantee smooth logistics or bottling line operations.
**What is Expected from the Logistics Leader/Packaging Manager:**
* **Prevent stockouts**, **reduce warehousing costs**, **ensure prompt replenishment**, **organize goods flow, inventory management, quality control, traceability, logistics, and production inspection**. These activities ensure the company has the right items, in the correct quantities, at the exact time required.
**Key Functions of the Packaging Manager/Controller:**
* **Prevent Stockouts:** Avoids interruptions to sales or production caused by product shortages, preventing lost revenue opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* **Cost Optimization (Optimal Inventory Level):** Maintains a balance between over-purchasing (tied-up capital and high storage costs) and under-purchasing (shortage risk).
* **Accuracy and Movement Recording:** Ensures physical warehouse stock balances match system records exactly, through periodic inventories and accurate recording of receipts and shipments.
* **Operational Organization (Internal Logistics):** Designs the physical layout, identifies products, and applies methodologies (e.g., FIFO/FEFO) to expedite receiving, storage, and dispatch.
* **Inventory Management:** Ensures regular physical and periodic counts to prevent production line stoppages due to material shortages.
* **Quality Control:** Ensures incoming materials are free from damage and conform to specifications.
* **Traceability and Logistics:** Manages packaging flow, including reverse logistics for returnable packaging.
* **Production Inspection:** Uses vision systems or manual checks to verify labels and prevent "label mix-up".
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Desirable:**
* Completed or ongoing Technical Education.
* Completed or ongoing Higher Education: Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.
**Knowledge Requirements:**
* Advanced computer skills (Office suite, especially Excel);
* High proficiency in Excel;
* ERP/MRP systems;
* Attention to detail, organization, and discipline;
* Negotiation skills;
* Mathematical aptitude;
* Short-course certification in Business Administration;
* Production Planning (or similar);
* Residency in Limeira or nearby cities.
