**A day in the life of a Logistics Operator:**
* RECEIVING MERCHANDISE:
+ Performs quantitative and qualitative receipt of both commercial and non-commercial merchandise (equipment, office supplies, etc.), verifying and identifying overall condition, supplier, length, reference, shade, expiration date, etc.
+ Prepares the physical space and necessary equipment for proper receipt, avoiding loss of productivity during inspection.
+ Records all relevant information regarding received merchandise (quantities, apparent condition, expiration dates, etc.) in the inspection report, ensuring quality and preventing losses.
+ Stores merchandise at the correct warehouse location by reading the receipt slip to expedite future order picking or delivery.
+ Labels products missing or defective barcodes and applies security labels to theft-prone items, ensuring merchandise delivered to stores is ready for sale.
+ Sorts merchandise according to flow type—store merchandise versus warehouse merchandise.
+ Releases merchandise for storage in the Store or Warehouse by contacting the Replenishment or Storage team to perform storage (receiving note).
+ Conducts anti-shrinkage actions through rigorous qualitative and quantitative checks on received merchandise, optimizing vehicle flow in the Merchandise Receiving yard and ensuring correct operation of material handling equipment (pallet jacks, cages, etc.).
+ Keeps equipment, tools, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) organized.
+ Performs safe pallet stacking to prevent damage to property and people.
+ Maintains the receiving area clean and organized to help combat shrinkage and prevent workplace accidents.
+ Receives shrinkage items validated by the Sales Department, performs qualitative and quantitative inspection, and places shrinkage items in the designated disposal area.
+ Receives returns to suppliers validated by the Sales Department, performs qualitative and quantitative inspections, and schedules pickup.
+ Receives shipments for Technical Support, performs qualitative and quantitative inspections, and schedules pickup.
* PICKUP AND HOME DELIVERY:
+ Picks RSS (Reserve Against Stock), identifies products, and informs the Commercial Department about the picking.
+ Assigns physical locations for merchandise, reserving space and maintaining rotating inventory based on the RSS product list.
+ Delivers merchandise to customers promptly and courteously, loading it into the customer’s vehicle.
+ Picks and inspects merchandise, verifying all items listed on the issued order, and makes them available for customer pickup at the Merchandise Pickup Area or for the carrier (home delivery).
* REPLENISHMENT:
+ Restocks products in the store appropriately.
* INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
+ Stores merchandise and ensures inventory quality and reliability.
+ Reviews daily orders generated by the Commercial Department, analyzes data consistency required in orders (addresses, phone numbers, delivery dates, references, availability, etc.), organizes orders chronologically, and releases them for billing.
+ Provides telephone support to inform customers about delivery timelines.
+ Informs the Logistics Supervisor about any issues involving the picking team, operations, or products.
+ Assists the Logistics Supervisor in ensuring smooth warehouse location management (setup, rotating inventories, etc.).
+ Handles daily processing of canceled RSS orders.
+ Registers shrinkage incidents identified during merchandise picking.
+ Maintains good relationships and serves as the liaison with the third-party carrier.
+ Collaborates with the Customer Service team to proactively address potential merchandise-related issues.
+ Reports merchandise-related incidents to the Logistics Supervisor and/or Logistics Manager.
+ Serves as the primary contact for the Merchandise Pickup Counter.
+ Is responsible for their work equipment.
+ Respects safety regulations.
