In addition to ongoing technical support, this professional will actively participate in critical phases including installation, commissioning, and start-up of crushing plants and belt conveyors, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Planning and PMO Manager and works closely with Project Managers and respective market areas where crushing plants will be installed. The role is primarily based in Sorocaba/SP and involves up to 70% travel (domestic and primarily international). Team You’ll Join You will join a high-performing Project Management team accountable for profitability (P&L), on-time delivery (OTD), customer satisfaction, quality, and scope adherence. Projects serve global mining industry customers. Key Responsibilities Act as technical and operational support to the Project Management team, ensuring alignment between commercial commitments and the operational capacity of execution teams. Assess the technical, operational, and resource capabilities of field teams (internal and third-party), providing recommendations, guidance, and technical opinions to support management decision-making. Support commercial forecasting and resource planning processes by delivering technical and operational analyses to inform commercial and operational decisions. Serve as a technical support point in critical or highly complex situations, offering independent insight, practical experience, and recommendations to the execution team. Promote integration and alignment among Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Services, and Commercial functions, acting as a technical-advisory liaison between departments, validating technical feasibility and ensuring alignment between commercial commitments and the team’s actual operational delivery capacity. Support monitoring of financial and commercial targets related to contracts, change orders, and service billing by contributing technical, scope, and risk analyses. Establish bridges and drive cross-functional interaction and collaboration across internal Business Line and Market Area units to enhance business development. Contribute to standardization of operational and commercial processes within the department, promoting efficiency and continuous improvement. Analyze department performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective action plans when necessary. Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and customer orientation aligned with Metso’s corporate values. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Production, or related fields). Solid field technical support experience in installation, commissioning, and start-up of medium- and large-scale industrial projects, preferably in mining or capital goods sectors, especially in crushing and belt conveyor systems. Proven experience managing technical and operational activities of internal and third-party teams in construction sites, field environments, or customer sites, including performance evaluation, maturity assessment, and technical capability analysis; experience coordinating project execution activities with strong interface to Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and commercial departments. Experience analyzing service scopes, change orders, and financial impacts, with a critical view of risks, opportunities, and contractual compliance. Ability to act as a technical and operational focal point for customers, suppliers, and internal teams—especially in critical or highly complex situations. Strong ability to analyze KPIs, identify deviations, and propose actions focused on continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Technical leadership profile, organizational skills, clear communication, data-driven decision-making, collaborative and influential approach. Fluent English is mandatory. Spanish is considered a plus. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 70%), as required by project demands.
