Assistance in food preparation and basic kitchen tasks A **Kitchen Assistant** (also called Kitchen Hand or Food Prep Assistant) supports chefs and cooks in the daily operations of a restaurant, café, hotel, or catering kitchen. This role is essential in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently. Main Responsibilities * **Food Preparation Support** * Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables * Preparing simple ingredients (salads, sauces, garnishes) * Assisting chefs with basic cooking tasks * **Cleaning & Sanitation** * Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans * Cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment * Taking out trash and maintaining hygiene standards * Following food safety regulations * **Stock & Organization** * Storing ingredients properly * Checking deliveries and unpacking supplies * Rotating stock (FIFO – First In, First Out) * Keeping storage areas neat and organized * **General Support** * Assisting during busy service periods * Helping set up and close down the kitchen * Supporting teamwork within the kitchen staff Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Compensation: R$40.000,00 - R$55.000,00 per year Expected Working Hours: 40 hours per week Benefits: * Medical insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Meal allowance Work Location: On-site
