**OUR OPPORTUNITY:** ACTUARY II
The actuary will participate in routine reserve department activities, with a focus on local **Capitalization** reporting.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
* Generate, process, and reconcile databases using SAS and Python.
* Analyze and monitor local capitalization reserves, perform variance analyses, and reconcile recorded account balances.
* Validate statistical report workflows and conduct periodic monitoring studies.
* Project future cash flows related to liabilities.
* Ensure periodic review processes for actuarial studies.
* Respond to regulatory authority inquiries and support actuarial and accounting audits.
\- Acquire end\-to\-end process knowledge and monitor/participate in testing of projects impacting actuarial databases.
* Ensure studies and processes fully comply with local regulations.
* Provide technical actuarial support to direct and indirect management.
* Execute projects within your scope of work and develop new studies as required/needed.
* Actively address (through execution or monitoring) information and/or process issues identified across other departments.
* Map actuarial process improvements to optimize analyses and ensure control execution.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
* Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science;
* Intermediate English proficiency;
* Intermediate Excel proficiency;
* Prior experience in Reserves or Capitalization;
* Proficiency in Python and/or SAS;
