Responsibilities General telephone support; Clarifying questions regarding general hospital operations; Transferring calls to internal extensions whenever necessary and feasible; Scheduling, blocking, and transferring patients in appointment calendars according to predefined rules; Providing all necessary instructions for appointment attendance; Keeping physicians, secretaries, and/or calendar providers informed of any changes to scheduled calendars; Delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers; Completing or updating patient data fully during every scheduling process; Covering team members' vacations within the department when required; Performing eligibility verification and authorization with health plans as needed and per established rules; Organizing appointment calendars to optimize calendar utilization and physician availability; Sending upcoming calendars to physicians, secretaries, and/or calendar providers; Performing other duties of similar nature and complexity as assigned. ###### **Requirements and Qualifications** Customer Service Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite) Institutional Systems Job Code: 139
