Billing and Audit Assistant

We are seeking an organized, analytical, and committed professional to work as a **Billing and Audit Assistant**. This position is responsible for supporting billing audit processes, including analyzing claim denials, preparing and submitting appeals to health insurance providers, and monitoring payments—ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency across departmental processes. **Key responsibilities:** * Analyze denial reports received from health insurance providers; * Prepare and track denial appeals within established deadlines; * Record denials, appeals, and payments in the system; * Compile data and issue management reports; * Support the audit and accounts receivable departments in tracking pending items; * Verify medical records, claim forms, medical prescriptions, and other documents related to audits; * Organize medical records and assist in preparing bills for audit; * Support activities related to the Quality Management System; * Assist in developing and updating internal workflows, procedures, and records; * Handle notifications and non-conformities from the department. **Requirements:** * Completed high school education; * Technical or undergraduate degree in Administration, Accounting, or related fields is desirable; * Experience in the healthcare sector is desirable; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel; * Knowledge of hospital/healthcare billing is desirable; * Familiarity with the IW (Incoway) system is desirable. **Behavioral competencies:** * Organization and planning; * Strong communication and interpersonal skills; * Numerical data analysis; * Results-oriented mindset; * Commitment and accountability; * Attention to detail; * Continuous improvement.
