Backend Developer (Python)

Description

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance microservices and APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and stability of our solutions hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We seek a professional focused on code quality (Clean Code) and who has interest or familiarity with interacting with modern Big Data ecosystems. ### **Responsibilities and Assignments** * **Service Development (Reactive):** Address and refine tickets via Jira to implement new features, business rules, and production system maintenance. * **API Development:** Develop and maintain RESTful/GraphQL microservices and APIs using modern Python frameworks, ensuring security, high performance, and proper documentation. * **Cloud Operations (Proactive):** Maintain and evolve applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, adhering to best practices for cloud scalability and security. * **Data Ecosystem Integration (Proactive):** Collaborate on consuming, integrating, and optimizing large-scale data flows processed by the data engineering team. * **Code Quality:** Implement unit and integration tests, conduct thorough code reviews, and apply SOLID principles and design patterns. ### **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid backend development experience using **Python**. * Experience building APIs using frameworks such as **FastAPI, Flask, or Django**. * Practical knowledge of **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** infrastructure and services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GCS, or similar). * Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis). * Proficiency with version control tools (**Git** and Git-Flow). * Strong experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) using **Jira**. #### **Desirable and Differentiating Qualifications:** * **Differentiator:** Knowledge or prior experience with **Databricks** (PySpark, Delta Lake). * Knowledge of containerization (**Docker** / Kubernetes / GKE). * Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines for cloud environments. **MJV Benefits:** TotalPass\Wellhub; ‍‍‍‍ Group life insurance; Meal/Voucher allowance; Health and dental plan — Bradesco; Training initiatives: talks, forums, knowledge-sharing sessions, and discussions related to our business.
