Senior Java Backend Developer

FCamara is seeking a **SENIOR JAVA BACKEND DEVELOPER** to work on microservices and messaging, developing, evolving, and maintaining backend solutions in Java, ensuring scalability, resilience, performance, and efficient system integration through microservices and messaging architectures, at a leading Brazilian pharmacy market company, a reference in Health and Well-being with over 3,000 stores across all Brazilian states. **Responsibilities and duties** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Develop and maintain microservices in Java, following best practices in software architecture and design * Implement and integrate messaging solutions (asynchronous and event-driven) * Design and consume REST APIs and domain events * Participate in technical specification of solutions, contributing to architectural decisions * Implement observability practices (logs, metrics, and tracing) * Identify and resolve performance, concurrency, and scalability issues * Collaborate closely with product, QA, and infrastructure teams * Provide technical support to less experienced developers * Ensure compliance with security standards, service versioning, and governance **Requirements and qualifications** **Hard Skills** * Knowledge of Microservices Architecture (primarily Hexagonal) * Knowledge of Unit Testing (JEST/JUNIT) and code coverage with SonarQube * Knowledge of API Gateways (Sensedia, Nginx) * Knowledge of Java with Spring Boot (Java 8, 11, 12, 17, 21) * Knowledge of messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ) * Knowledge of mainstream databases (MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres) * Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS) and related services (EKS, ECS / EC2, Amazon RDS, DynamoDB) * Knowledge of Design Patterns * Knowledge of cryptography (AES-256) and/or hashing; JWT is also acceptable * Knowledge of GTM (Google Tag Manager) * Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous requests, request queuing * Knowledge of authentication with Azure AD * Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (Pod scalability, provisioning and configuration of orchestrated machines) * Knowledge of Kustomize, YAML files, CI/CD pipelines in GitLab * Knowledge of GitLab and best practices * Knowledge of integrations across multiple systems * Knowledge of System Design * Basic knowledge of application observability and monitoring (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace) * Basic knowledge of taxonomy (SKUs, TTL [...]) * Knowledge of Kanban, Scrum, Kanbanize * Knowledge of AI-assisted development and automation using tools like Cursor * Knowledge of AI-enhanced productivity acceleration practices, code organization, and development methodologies **Soft Skills** * Analytical, proactive, and dynamic profile capable of adapting to complex problems and challenges * Problem-solving oriented profile and team mentor * Assertive oral and written communication **Additional information** **Here, we are \#OrangeBlood!** We have been in the market for 17 years, side by side with our clients, delivering transformative experiences.
