The Position
As Import and Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all foreign trade operations at Roche, ensuring compliance with customs and tax regulations while optimizing logistics costs and delivery timelines. You will also manage suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies to guarantee efficiency and quality in international logistics processes.
**About the opportunity:**
* Manage import and export operations, ensuring adherence to deadlines and optimized costs.
* Ensure compliance with national and international legislation, including regulations from the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, ANVISA, MAPA, and other regulatory bodies.
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce logistics and tax costs, such as utilizing special regimes (Drawback, Ex\-Tariff, Special Warehouse, among others).
* Negotiate with suppliers, freight agents, carriers, and customs brokers to secure optimal freight terms and services in collaboration with the procurement team, establishing SLAs, performance indicators, and action plans to ensure service quality, reliability, and efficiency.
* Monitor customs clearance processes to ensure prompt release of goods.
* Track foreign trade performance and KPIs—including lead time, on-time delivery, import/export costs, and logistics efficiency—applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) for continuous monitoring and identification of optimization opportunities.
* Coordinate internal audits and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Collaborate with internal departments—including Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Tax—to align strategies and operational requirements.
* Manage international transportation logistics, ensuring product integrity and efficiency across transport modes (air, sea, road), with a focus on process structuring and elimination of operational bottlenecks.
* Lead the structuring and redesign of the International Trade department’s processes through workflow mapping, implementation of operational improvements, and adoption of technologies/systems that enhance operational efficiency and traceability.
* Manage and develop the International Trade team, defining performance objectives aligned with company strategy, tracking individual and collective metrics, promoting continuous training, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
**Who you are:**
* Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, International Relations, or related fields.
* Experience implementing and utilizing special regimes (Drawback, Ex\-Tariff, Special Warehouse, among others).
* Solid experience in import and export operations, including customs clearance and special regimes.
* Advanced knowledge of customs legislation, fiscal classification, Incoterms, and foreign trade taxation.
* Experience negotiating with logistics suppliers and service providers.
* Fluent English.
* Data analysis and strategic decision-making skills.
* Lean Six Sigma certification and/or International Trade certifications are desirable.
* Experience in companies within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors.
* Knowledge of customs risk management and international compliance.
* Willingness to work in a hybrid model in the southern region of São Paulo, three days per week.
