If you are a results-driven individual who enjoys making a difference, we would love to have you join us to drive business forward. **Responsibilities and duties** #### **Your day-to-day responsibilities** **Technical Leadership, Product and Solution Architecture** * Provide technical leadership for software projects with cross-cutting technical authority: define, document, present, and evolve architectures for digital products and solutions, ensuring consistent technical alignment and integration across software modules, firmware, applications, SDKs, APIs, and services—guaranteeing scalability, security, and sustainability of solutions; * Serve as the technical owner responsible for architectural decisions on projects under your scope—lead architectural reviews and design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and/or development partner companies; * Ensure architectural consistency across current and future products and solutions, preventing technical fragmentation; * Influence corporate strategic decisions through technical grounding, risk analysis, and systemic vision. **Software Architecture** * Define technical standards for software and embedded firmware engineering in payment terminals and commercial automation; ensure consistency and quality of SDKs, APIs, and abstraction layers targeting acquirers, partners, and customers; * Architect solutions based on embedded Linux, embedded Android, and RTOS, considering hardware constraints, performance, power consumption, security, and certification requirements; * Define versioning strategies, secure updates, observability, telemetry, and remote diagnostics for field-deployed devices. **Software Development Efficiency and Excellence** * Serve as the internal reference for AI-augmented engineering: architect and lead adoption of an AI-driven SDLC, making its use mandatory and standardized across all phases, thereby influencing and evolving CI/CD processes, test automation, observability, and technical governance; * Support definition, analysis, and evolution of SDLC efficiency metrics jointly with the Software Development Management team—including lead time, throughput, production quality, and stability; * Define standards, practices, and guardrails for AI usage in development, ensuring ethics, information security, traceability, and human validation; * Continuously uphold and advocate industry-adopted best practices in software and firmware engineering. **Cybersecurity and Compliance** * Proactively lead the organization’s product and solution cybersecurity efforts, promoting security-by-design; * Define and uphold secure coding standards and vulnerability mitigation through static and dynamic code analysis; * Ensure architectural alignment with regulatory requirements such as PCI PTS, EMV, ANATEL, TQM, and other applicable standards; **Mentorship, Influence, and Knowledge Dissemination** * Act as senior technical mentor to engineers, emerging technical leaders, and architects-in-training; * Elevate the organization’s technical level through practical guidance, structured feedback, and leading by example; * Facilitate complex technical decisions by mediating trade-offs among business needs, risk, and architecture; * Represent Gertec technically in internal and external forums, audits, certifications, and strategic discussions. **Requirements and qualifications** #### **What you need to have:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields; * Professional experience exceeding 10 years in software development; * Expertise in software development using C/C++, Android, Java/Kotlin, Linux, RTOS; * Software architecture, distributed systems, embedded systems, cybersecurity, cryptography; * Applied AI usage in development, testing, analysis, and documentation; * Solid knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and test automation; * Advanced English proficiency for technical communication; * Ability to exercise technical leadership and influence without direct hierarchical authority. #### **Nice-to-have** * Postgraduate degree, MBA, or Master’s in Software, Technology, or Architecture; * Experience in the payments industry, acquiring, fintechs, commercial automation, or issuing institutions; **Additional information** #### **Our Benefits** Opportunity to work at a company undergoing continuous expansion Celebratory gifts on special occasions Meal voucher Food voucher Life insurance Transportation voucher or parking Pet care plan Medical assistance Dental assistance Pharmacy plan Childcare support and maternity kit Profit-sharing and results-based bonus Partnerships with universities and language schools Relaxation space Workplace gymnastics Collective learning program: \#WhoKnowsShares!
