**About the Opportunity**
An industrial company located in Salto/SP is seeking a professional to work as a Direct Materials Purchaser, focusing on strategic procurement, negotiation with domestic and international suppliers, cost analysis, supply management, and interface with production and technical departments.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring continuous supply of production inputs, aiming for optimal total cost, quality, delivery timelines, supplier development, and value generation for operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct materials categories.
Conduct supplier market analysis, commodity trends assessment, and identification of negotiation opportunities.
Lead price, contract, payment term, and commercial condition negotiations with domestic and international suppliers.
Prospect, qualify, evaluate, and develop suppliers.
Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, quality, cost, lead time, and supply risk.
Perform cost analyses, cost breakdowns, should-cost assessments, and TCO — Total Cost of Ownership.
Identify savings, cost avoidance, and commercial condition improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with PCP, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and administrative departments.
Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve fiscal or operational discrepancies.
Support resolution of non-conformities with the Quality department and suppliers.
Anticipate supply disruption risks and propose contingency plans, including dual sourcing when necessary.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, code of conduct, and compliance guidelines.
Requirements: **Mandatory Requirements**
Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, Economics, International Trade, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience in direct materials procurement within the industrial sector.
Experience negotiating with domestic and/or international suppliers.
Knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes.
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Advanced English for negotiation with global suppliers.
Analytical capability to interpret KPIs, costs, market dynamics, and supply risks.
Willingness to work onsite in Salto/SP.
Willingness to conduct occasional visits to suppliers or other facilities.
**Desirable Requirements**
Intermediate Spanish.
Experience negotiating commodities.
ERP knowledge, preferably SAP or Oracle.
Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing.
Experience with TCO, cost breakdown, should-cost, savings, and cost avoidance.
Basic ability to read technical drawings and material specifications.
