Description

The professional will work on-site as the Industrial Rigger/Roofing Technician’s right-hand assistant, performing metal structure and roofing assembly and maintenance activities in an operational industrial environment with active machinery. The role is performed under direct supervision, emphasizing assisted execution and strict adherence to safety regulations. Work at height will be conducted to support assembly, alignment, cutting, and welding tasks, always following safety standards. The project will have continuous client oversight, Occupational Safety Technician supervision, and frequent Engineering visits; mandatory use of PPE and area isolation is required. **Responsibilities:** **Structural assembly (from scratch):** * Assists in assembling and securing metal structures (beams, profiles, supports, and purlins) * Assists in aligning, leveling, and squaring structures * Assists in installing metal roofing (roofing sheets) * Assists in assembling, preparing, adjusting roofing sheets, gutters, flashings, and finishes * Preferred qualification: Ability to interpret measurements and technical drawings **Roofing and structural maintenance:** * Assists in repairing metal structures * Assists in correcting structural misalignments and gaps * Assists in preparing and reinforcing metal components * Assists in identifying wear points, leaks, or failures * Assists in transporting, handling, and moving materials up and down roofs **Gutters, roofing sheets, and associated systems:** * Assists in installing and adjusting gutters and drainage systems * Assists in fastening and sealing metal roofing sheets * Assists in adjusting flashings and joints * Assists in improving duct and exhaust systems **Cutting, adjustment, and welding:** * Assists in transporting welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, materials, metal parts, extension cords, etc. * Assists and supports positioning parts for proper fit-up during welding assembly **Work at height and safety:** * Performs work at height in accordance with NR-35 * Correctly uses PPE and anchoring systems * Supports installation of lifelines * Ensures workplace organization and safety **General operational responsibilities:** * Transports materials and tools * Supports field assembly logistics * Maintains a clean and organized worksite * Collaborates with Certified Riggers, Roofers, Welders, and Occupational Safety Technicians **Requirements:** * Prior experience in roofing and/or metal structure maintenance * Experience as an Industrial Rigger Assistant, Metalworker, Roofer, or similar roles * Availability for work at height (NR-35 certification mandatory) **Working hours:** Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour break. Friday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 1-hour break. Weekend availability required as needed.
