Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to serve as a technical reference, defining standards, accelerating development, and multiplying knowledge across the organization. At Grupo Pernambucanas, we seek a Senior Software Architect to serve as a technical reference within the Platform & Architecture tribe (COE), responsible for defining, standardizing, and accelerating software development across the entire organization. In this role, your responsibilities go beyond designing solutions: you will be a technical multiplier — creating reusable archetypes, establishing engineering standards, and reducing friction in day-to-day product team operations. ***Responsibilities*** **Architecture & Standards** * Define and evolve organizational architectural standards: REST, messaging, module structure, security, and observability. * Lead ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) and ensure traceability of technical decisions. * Review and approve architectures for new products and critical features. * Ensure adherence to Clean Architecture, DDD, SOLID, and 12-Factor App principles. **Archetypes & Development Acceleration** * Create and maintain software archetypes (Maven Archetypes, Gradle/Quarkus templates) for REST APIs, messaging workers, batch jobs, BFFs, and internal libraries. * Ensure archetypes embed best practices: CI/CD-ready, observability, security-by-default, and automated testing. * Reduce new project bootstrapping time from days to hours. **Platform & COE** * Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on continuous evolution of the development platform. * Actively participate in the Architecture COE: leading technical forums, guilds, and governance decisions. * Support squads and tribes with technical mentoring, pair-review, and architecture office hours. * Identify systemic technical debt and propose modernization roadmaps. **Technical Leadership & Enablement** * Serve as the architectural reference for engineering teams, answering high-impact questions. * Conduct technology evaluations: PoCs, benchmarks, and trade-off analyses. * Contribute to engineering culture: technical documentation, onboarding, and learning paths. Requirements: **Technical** * Java 11+ with deep expertise in the ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and JVM tuning. * Proven experience creating and maintaining archetypes (Maven Archetype Plugin or equivalent). * Solid knowledge of microservices architecture: synchronous and asynchronous communication (Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Experience designing REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and versioning strategies. * Knowledge of containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. * Observability: structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). **Behavioral** * Ability to influence without hierarchical authority. * Enabler mindset: focused on accelerating teams, not being the sole decision-maker. * Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences (stakeholders, executive leadership). * Organizational-level ownership of engineering quality. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Inner Source and management of shared internal libraries. * Knowledge of Developer Portals (Backstage.io) and service catalogs. * Experience with Service Mesh: Istio or Linkerd. * Contributions to relevant open-source projects. * Certifications: AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect, CKA, CKAD.
