Job Summary:
Responsible for receiving, analyzing, and negotiating purchase requisitions; managing suppliers; and ensuring compliance with processes and deadlines.

Responsibilities/Activities:
* Receive and analyze purchase requisitions for materials, equipment, parts, and services of medium and large scale, aiming for optimal financial, technical, and commercial outcomes;
* Identify potential suppliers according to the technical and commercial requirements of purchase requisitions; request and receive quotations from suppliers;
* Conduct commercial analysis of quotations to meet required financial and commercial criteria;
* Negotiate with suppliers according to company-established procedures and requirements, including (but not limited to) financial terms, quality standards, payment methods, required guarantees, freight type, and others;
* Evaluate suppliers’ technical capabilities and financial standing, ensuring compliance with company-established procedures and requirements;
* Select the winning bidder and ensure contractual formalization through issuance of Purchase Orders or Contracts; when necessary, liaise with the Legal Department to resolve conflicts related to contractual clauses;
* Send Purchase Orders to suppliers and monitor the entire process until delivery of the contracted scope, ensuring fulfillment of all negotiated conditions;
* Support development of alternative supply sources to meet procurement demands;
* When required, address non-conformities related to Purchase Orders identified by FLSmidth’s Quality Department, working closely with suppliers;
* Follow up on Purchase Orders with suppliers to ensure adherence to deadlines, deliveries, and status updates;
* Accompany internal and/or external customers during new supplier qualification visits, as well as follow-up visits related to ongoing supplies;
* Contribute to achieving targets and continuously improving performance indicators established by the company;
* Comply with legal, internal, customer, and supplier occupational health and safety recommendations and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment for yourself and your colleagues, safeguarding everyone’s health and physical integrity.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree completed in Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement.
* Preferred: Advanced English and/or Spanish.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, financial mathematics, and Microsiga ERP.
