Assist in developing environmental monitoring and waste management services, including documentation, laboratory analyses of waste, and analyses of natural resources (water, air, soil) affected by sanitary landfill operations, conducting inspections, technical analyses, scheduling routine operational activities, analyzing causes/effects of environmental conditions and risks, evaluating applicable legal aspects, preparing reports, and performing other technical services to ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor the issuance and processing of documents related to waste movements, such as manifests, invoices, transport waybills, etc., evaluating applicable technical\-legal aspects to ensure compliance with environmental legislation; * Support the scheduling of inspections at waste movement sites, such as leachate drainage systems, etc., involving assessments of operational activities and processes to verify compliance with environmental legislation; * Assist in technical cause/effect analyses of environmental conditions and risks, in accordance with legislation, proposing preventive/preservative environmental processes or mitigation/remediation actions to neutralize environmental damage caused by sanitary landfill operations; * Help identify and prepare soil, groundwater, atmospheric air, and water protection procedures, observing legal requirements to support the standardization of environmental controls and waste management; * Participate, together with supervisors, in implementing or improving operational and laboratory routines, ensuring preventive or corrective procedures are followed to remediate environmental damage; * Monitor and support the evaluation of laboratory administration tasks, including inventory management, budgeting, chemical costs and expenses, analytical processes, recordkeeping, sample dispatching, and equipment operation, providing opinions and recommendations to ensure accreditation, licensing, and compliance with applicable legislation; * Assist laboratory teams in analyzing waste samples, ensuring contractual parameters and legal requirements are observed regarding laboratory processes, organization, administration, and related matters; * Help interact with the company’s hierarchical units to gather historical records of performed services and other data supporting rational work planning; * Support maintaining contact with environmental agencies (e.g., INEA, State Environmental Secretariat), providing or obtaining information on environmental restrictions, protocols, responding to notifications, tracking case proceedings, and performing all necessary actions to ensure operational legitimacy and acquisition/maintenance of required licenses; * Monitor specific field operations, projects, and processes, observing deadlines and procedures, maintaining records, advising managers on critical issues and evidence of non-conformities to ensure compliance with environmental restrictions stipulated in licenses and legislation; * Assist in preparing periodic reports for environmental agencies, observing required deadlines and formatting, reporting on operational routines and processes to ensure compliance with provisions stated in environmental licenses; * Participate in preparing defenses against infringement notices/notices, providing requested information to the Legal Department, arranging documents, justifications, etc., to support managerial decision-making or formulation of responses to environmental agencies; * Prepare and compile technical reports (statistical, environmental investigation, etc.) describing historical data, characterizations of environmental resources, and data interpretation in light of the law, for presentation to clients or environmental agencies; * Support delivering technical\-operational training on new processes or technologies, or institutional training, aiming to disseminate concepts or regulatory instructions; **Requirements and Qualifications** * Minimum Education: Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree in Environmental Management, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or a related field. A Law degree (in progress or completed) is considered an asset at the manager’s discretion. * Desired knowledge of applicable Environmental Legislation. * Initiative, critical and analytical thinking, self-control, and excellent internal interpersonal skills.
