




Job Summary: The Senior Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing short- and medium-term mine production plans, collaborating across departments, and developing the planning team. Technical development of the planning team **Summary of Responsibilities:** The Senior Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing short- and medium-term mine production plans (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual), ensuring that such plans are operationally feasible, executable, and aligned with the company’s technical and strategic assumptions. This professional will work closely with Geology, Geotechnics, Mine Operations, and Processing Plant teams to ensure production plans incorporate operational, environmental, and structural variables of the mining operation. They will also be responsible for production monitoring, performance indicator analysis, mine reconciliation, and ore inventory management. Additionally, they will play a key role in the technical development of the planning team, acting as a mentor to team members and providing planning support whenever required. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise short- and medium-term planning team activities, ensuring compliance with the highest health and safety standards; * Develop production plans for multiple pits, considering short-, medium-, and long-term horizons; * Formulate mining strategies accounting for production capacity, resource availability, ore stockpile management, waste dump areas, and mine operational assumptions; * Develop feed blending strategies for the processing plant to ensure adherence to production budget targets; * Perform fleet sizing and operational analyses to support production planning; * Prepare budget revisions and quarterly production forecasts; * Prepare analytical technical reports on production budget tracking and mine planning; * Develop and monitor short- and medium-term production plans, tracking performance indicators and geometric plan adherence; * Conduct operational KPI analyses, including geometric adherence, planned vs. actual dilution, and processing plant feed autonomy; * Perform production accounting reconciliation, mine reconciliation (MCF), and spatial reconciliation between plans and actual mining; * Prepare ore stockpile balance reports and related analyses for waste OPEX and CAPEX; * Monitor surveying activities to ensure reliability of data used in production planning; * Track production progress against plans, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions; * Collaborate directly with operations teams to ensure efficient execution of mining plans; * Support long-term planning activities and substitute for the area lead when necessary. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; * Extensive experience in open-pit mine planning, preferably in base metals or gold operations; * Solid expertise in short- and medium-term mine planning; * Experience in pit design, waste dumps, mine infrastructure, ramps, and haul roads; * Advanced proficiency in mine planning and modeling software; * Proven experience interfacing with operational and technical mining teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge of long-term mine planning; * Advanced experience with Deswik CAD software; * Familiarity with Strategic Mine Planning (LOM 2P, 3P, and Blue Sky); * Experience in defining OMU (Operational Mining Unit) and SMU (Selective Mining Unit); * Experience preparing technical reports such as RAL (Annual Mining Report) and PAE (Economic Exploitation Plan); * Knowledge of pit and waste dump drainage projects; * English proficiency is considered an advantage. **Additional Information:** * Work schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off; FIFO; * Transportation, accommodation, and meals provided by the company. **About the Company:** G Mining Ventures (GMIN) is a gold mining company focused on acquiring, developing, and operating precious metals projects.
