At Caju, we **always learn**, continuously improving within a collaborative and fun environment! **Applications from Black people, women, Indigenous peoples, LGBTQIA+, or other marginalized groups are warmly welcomed.** **Apply now and learn more about our team** **Responsibilities and duties** * Define and guide the technical vision for products and projects, from solution design through launch and refinement; * Design scalable, resilient system architectures aligned with business objectives; * Lead code reviews to elevate the team’s coding and architectural quality standards; * Mentor and train senior developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence; * Identify and manage technical debt, proposing and executing initiatives for continuous platform improvement; * Decompose complex solutions into incremental deliveries, avoiding "big bang" projects; * Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure technical feasibility of features and influence product direction; * Represent the team’s technical vision in discussions with stakeholders and other departments; * Define and document architectural standards: API design, inter-service communication (synchronous/asynchronous), and data persistence; * Contribute to automation and improvements in development practices, CI/CD, and team observability; * Participate in recruiting new technical talent. **Requirements and qualifications** * Solid experience as a **Technical Leader** in backend development; * Proven experience defining and documenting distributed system architectures; * Experience building and designing REST APIs (including documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI) and inter-service communication; * Experience with Object-Oriented and/or Functional programming; * Proficiency in Kotlin, Java (or other JVM languages), and C#; * Unit and integration testing, and end-to-end quality strategies; * Asynchronous messaging (e.g., Kafka, Azure, RabbitMQ); * Hexagonal Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Enterprise Integration Patterns; * Relational databases (modeling and query optimization); * Experience technically leading development teams (not necessarily people management). * Micronaut or Spring; * Micronaut Data or Hibernate; * Deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary) and CI/CD pipelines; * Docker and Kubernetes; * Observability (logs, metrics, tracing) — Datadog or equivalent; * Experience with TDD; * Best practices in REST, SOLID, DRY; **Nice-to-haves:** * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi; * AWS; * GitHub Actions; * Non-relational databases; * Knowledge of anti-fraud and security mechanisms (authentication, authorization, biometrics, etc.); * Experience integrating with messaging/email gateways (SendGrid, Meta Business Platform, Twilio, etc.) **Soft Skills:** * Technical leadership and ability to build consensus on architectural decisions; * Assertive communication with both technical and non-technical teams, translating complexity into clarity; * Business acumen: understanding how technical decisions impact outcomes and delivering sustainable value; * Proactivity in addressing complexity before it becomes a problem; * Ability to negotiate technical trade-offs considering context, cost, and impact; * Capacity to influence without formal authority; * End-to-end development mindset. **We work with:** * Functional paradigm — Scala & ZIO framework, and Kotlin; * Relational and non-relational databases — MySQL and DynamoDB. **Additional information** Caju Card, offering greater freedom to use your benefits (Meal, Food, Mobility, Health, Home Office, Culture, and Education); Health insurance with no co-payment (Unimed, Sulamérica, or Alice); Zenklub, providing online consultations with therapists and coaches for mental health care; Wellhub; We also encourage language learning through our partnership with Rosetta Stone; Recharge Day — day off; Conexa Saúde — online medical consultations; Childcare allowance; Partnership with Alura; Remote work — work from anywhere in Brazil; We provide work equipment; Many growth opportunities — we have big ambitions and strongly hope you’ll help us achieve them!
