You will be the driving force behind every aspect of a program’s success and the “conductor” who orchestrates everyone’s efforts to create a harmonious outcome. As the primary point of contact with the client, you will also embody Kyndryl’s reputation every day. As a Project Manager, you will manage a highly demanding and detail\-oriented schedule. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, managing teams, and facilitating meetings, status calls, planning sessions, and recurring check\-ins. You will analyze and mitigate risks, manage finances, ensure your team has the right competencies, and plan and delegate tasks to meet deadlines, fulfill SLAs, and, overall, delight our customers. Naturally, plans evolve as the project progresses, so you’ll need to continuously apply structured thinking and take ownership of delivering value—not just completing tasks. But as important as planning and organization is communication, which accounts for 90% of the work. You will serve as the single point of contact for clients, partners, and all stakeholders—supporting them and ensuring they receive what they need. You will also act as the bridge to all other project teams, including technical and commercial functions. The result is a multicultural—and often multilingual—environment. In short: you must enjoy interacting with people, demonstrate kindness and empathy, yet remain assertive—and handle client change requests diplomatically. You will meet many people, build your network, and cultivate relationships. Some projects or clients may even require you to work directly on the client’s premises. This increases your visibility but also creates more opportunities to add value to the relationship.
