We are seeking a Route Development Manager I to participate in developing and ensuring implementation of the business development strategy to generate new/additional business, maximize profit, and increase market share within a defined geographic region — aligned with corporate strategy, financial objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Contribute to developing the business development strategy, considering corporate strategy, financial objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
* Develop business development plans and budgets, including account management approaches and account plans for the designated geographic region.
* Monitor revenue generation, profit/expense targets, and coordinate market, customer, and retention rate growth.
* Plan and ensure new business development initiatives/operations and maximize DHL’s visibility among target prospects.
* Lead the sales team to initiate and establish relationships with target prospects.
* Conduct market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential.
* Identify new business development opportunities through market research, marketing initiative development, and other means.
* Explore business development opportunities with government authorities and relevant stakeholders.
* Identify, pursue, and acquire profitable commercial relationships with key customers.
* Develop major business opportunities, conduct pre-proposal visits, and assist the technical team in preparing proposals.
* Lead negotiations to win new customers and support the team in difficult negotiations to secure strategic sales.
* Discuss with colleagues to communicate sales issues, business observations, prospect feedback, and other matters.
* Understand key trends and developments impacting the business and identify needs for changes in business development plans.
* Regularly enhance the quality or value of existing business development methods and techniques, and resolve problems that may not be clearly defined.
* Persuade external parties — such as skeptical customers, institutions, etc. — who are reluctant to accept proposals, or where decision-making processes and standards are formalized and mandatory.
* Supervise the team to achieve goals by assigning tasks, setting deadlines, reviewing deliverables, and supporting performance management.
* Support recruitment, motivation, development, and training of team members.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, International Trade, or related fields.
* Advanced English proficiency.
* Spanish is considered a plus.
* Driver’s license category B is considered a plus.
