Job Summary: Experienced Welder proficient in techniques such as MIG/MAG, TIG, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) will be responsible for executing, preparing, and maintaining metallic structures. Controls weld quality and strictly adheres to safety regulations. An engineering services company is seeking a Welder in Parauapebas. Plangecon is a company specialized in economic planning and consulting. We provide strategic solutions for resource optimization and sustainable development. **Responsibilities:** Welding Process Execution: Applies specific techniques including MIG/MAG, TIG, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), or Oxyacetylene, depending on the metal type (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and project requirements. Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Analyzes technical drawings and welding symbols to determine where and how weld beads should be applied. Component Preparation: Performs cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning of metallic surfaces prior to welding to ensure bonding strength and joint purity. Maintenance and Repairs: Repairs machines, heavy equipment, and metallic structures that have experienced wear or cracking during operation at construction sites. Quality Control: Conducts visual inspections to identify defects such as porosity, cracks, or lack of penetration, ensuring welds meet engineering load requirements. Safety and PPE: Strictly complies with safety regulations and mandatorily uses welding helmet, leather apron, gloves, and respiratory protection against metal fumes. Previous experience as a Metallic Structure Assembler, Welding Operator, Welding Technician, or Pipe Welder may indicate suitability for some of the responsibilities in this position. High school diploma required.
