Senior Process Engineer for the Service department. This professional will be responsible for developing technical solutions and applications. With strong interface with customers and partners, supporting: process troubleshooting (failure analysis), remote support, and improvement/upgrade development for installed base. In addition, preparing technical proposals and collaborating multidisciplinarily across all project lifecycle phases, acting as GEA’s focal point at the customer site during mechanical/electrical installation, commissioning, start-up, and project closeout. Prior experience in food and beverage industries is essential, with knowledge of processes and equipment for Sterilizers, Aseptic Systems (UHT), and Pasteurizers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Collection of project data: product characteristics, process parameters, scope definition (assumptions, requirements, constraints).
* Preparation of layouts, mass and energy balances.
* Preparation of P&ID diagrams, equipment specifications, instrumentation, valves, pumps, and general materials.
* Technical consultation with GEA divisions abroad.
* Development of project planning (schedule & deliverables).
* Conducting the budget formation process for projects and cost estimation for equipment, components, services, materials, and expenses.
* Interface with customers (kick-off meetings, technical discussions, status reports).
* Preparation of Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and operation descriptions (for automation);
* On-site supervision of electromechanical installation execution;
* Leading commissioning, start-ups, and project closeouts;
* Delivering technical and operational training to customers;
### **Your profile and qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Food, or Chemical.
* Advanced English proficiency and basic Spanish proficiency are desirable.
* Field experience with operation or testing/commissioning of various systems is desirable.
