**Responsibilities and duties**
* Be responsible for dynamic positioning and ballast control of the unit, enabling drilling and completion operations in accordance with vessel requirements;
* Assist in monitoring and operating the Dynamic Positioning system, maintaining UNIT stability, reporting abnormalities to immediate leadership during dynamic positioning operations based on the WSOG, meteorological conditions, contractual requirements, safety procedures, maritime life preservation, and aquatic traffic safety;
* Support operational readiness of equipment associated with the dynamic positioning system through preventive maintenance and reporting any incidents that may degrade system performance;
* Support leadership in vessel operations in accordance with Company procedures, Client requirements, national and international regulations, and maritime authorities;
* Support inspections and audits in accordance with the Foresea Management System (SGI), providing full necessary support to internal and external auditors when they are onboard;
* Promote safe work practices and foster and maintain a safety culture onboard to help reduce operational risks associated with tasks, by participating in the use of devices provided by the Company and Client;
* Ensure maritime life preservation and act as a Nautical Officer fulfilling all inherent obligations during emergencies defined by international protocols and in compliance with classification, statutory, flag state, and maritime authority regulations and procedures;
* Assist the SDPO and First Mate with administrative tasks and daily routines of the Marine Department, participating in the planning and supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance of onboard lifesaving and firefighting equipment;
* Guide and assist junior assistants and helpers;
* Ensure maintenance and availability of safety barriers, acting as guardian of the Safety Case barriers according to one’s function and assigned unit.
**Requirements and qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Sciences from a Maritime School or equivalent;
* STCW certification in accordance with the Seafarer Certification Procedure, Version 2;
* Full DP certification;
* Minimum 2 years of experience in activities related to this role on Drilling Units;
* Advanced/Fluent English.
