Job Summary: Perform nursing procedures and assistance to patients undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, ensuring quality of care and patient safety. Key Highlights: 1. Participation in surgical procedures and ICU care Perform nursing procedures and assistance to patients of the Institution undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, involving technical-level activities aimed at ensuring the quality of care provided and patient safety. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform nursing procedures and assistance to critically ill patients of the Institution undergoing clinical or surgical treatment; * Implement preventive measures for identified risks based on institutional protocols; * Record relevant information regarding patients under your responsibility, ensuring safety and continuity of treatment; * Participate in the surgical process, including verifying the surgical schedule, checking the operating room, confirming surgical kits, receiving and transferring patients to the operating table, preoperative precautions, setting up the operating table, assisting during surgery, transferring patients to the post-anesthesia recovery room, and preparing the operating room for the next surgery; * Organize the anesthesia process in operating rooms, including arranging materials, anesthetic medications, and necessary equipment; transferring patients from stretchers to operating tables; assisting during anesthesia administration; and participating in anesthesia processes for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, which requires specific care, time, equipment, devices, and medications; * Provide individualized care to critically ill patients admitted to ICUs or clinical units; * Collect and/or forward exams requested by physicians; * Verify medical and nursing prescriptions, applying signature and stamp; * Assist in performing medical procedures such as chest drainage, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, intracath insertion, etc., gathering specific materials for these procedures to stabilize hemodynamic parameters; * Instruct visitors during visiting hours regarding hand hygiene and its importance in preventing infection among patients under your care; * Monitor material and medication expenditures, as well as expiration dates, aiming to prevent waste; * Assist nurses and/or physicians in performing invasive procedures and provide required materials; * Work in critical areas, providing care to patients with higher severity levels and those using invasive devices; * Check and replenish supplies on ICU bed panels, such as gauze, catheters, suction equipment, sterile gloves, Ambu bags, etc.; * Verify trays prepared for urgent procedures, date them, and restock missing items; * Inspect the emergency cart and test the defibrillator daily; * Perform other activities as needed or at the discretion of the unit nurse; * Admit patients to the unit together with the nurse, receiving admission forms and medical records, escorting patients to their beds, identifying them, and identifying their medication bins; * Participate in shift handovers bed-to-bed, communicating important information to colleagues alongside the entire nursing team; * Participate in planning nursing care; * Actively participate in the risk management program to avoid errors and harm to patients under your care; report incidents to the responsible nurse, implement interventions to minimize risk, and document actions in the prescription; * Perform all nursing actions except those exclusively reserved for registered nurses, per the General Nursing Procedures Manual; * Participate in discharge planning for patients, jointly providing guidance on care and devices to patients and their companions, along with the nurse, if necessary. * Verify ideal conditions for patient transfer to preoperative areas prior to surgeries; promptly respond to verbal requests or call bell notifications from inpatients; * Safely administer medications, preventing harm to patients; knowledge of High-Alert Medications is required; * Maintain unit cleanliness and report non-conformities to the hygiene department; * Maintain and preserve unit equipment and materials; notify the equipment center regarding needs or removal due to obsolescence; * Keep patient medical records and documents organized; * Notify the nurse regarding equipment repairs, maintenance, or shortages in the unit; * Participate in defining the daily individual patient supply requisition. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Completed technical nursing course; * Active COREN registration; * Intermediate-level computer and Microsoft Office skills. **Additional Information** Work schedule: Rotating 6x1 shift, either from 07:00 to 13:00 or from 13:00 to 19:00\. **SPDM** \- Paulista Association for Medical Development is a non-profit, philanthropic civil association, recognized as being of federal, state, and municipal public utility (in its headquarters city), respectively by Decrees No. 57\.925, dated 03/04/1966; No. 40\.103, dated 05/17/1962; and No. 8\.911, dated 07/30/1970\.
